Testimonials

“The Fort Point Cove Cottage was very comfortable and located centrally to all the places we wanted to visit while in Maine. It was stocked well with all the dishes, pots, pans and pretty much everything we needed to have a wonderful two week stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Darlene was very good at staying in touch and contacting me quickly when I had a question. I would definitely stay there again. Thank You Darlene for the wonderful break from the Arizona heat. It was hard to leave!!!”

“We had a wonderful time staying at Fort Point Cove Cottage! This lovely home really is tranquility on the bay - peaceful, secluded, and with breath-taking views. The house is beautiful, clean, and stocked with everything you need. This property is very well managed, and the owner has clearly put a lot of thought into the experience of her guests. We loved spending time on the porch, and the kids loved roasting marshmallows in the backyard fire pit. Although this home is located close to many destinations in Maine, we stayed local and had a wonderful time. We explored Belfast, and spent time at Sandy Point Beach. Captain Jon Clapp gave us a great boat tour of Belfast Harbour, the kids had a great time in City Park, and we had some excellent meals (especially Meanwhile in Belfast and Young's Lobster Pound). Highly, highly recommend this home for a great mid-coast Maine holiday!”

“I had very high expectations before we arrived and it wasn't too long after we checked in that the cottage exceeded those expectations. Darlene creatively decorated the cottage and provided every amenity imaginable. The location is sublime. I spent early mornings in the side patio listening to the Canadian geese and wild turkeys which roamed the premises. I could go on and on but, simply put, if you're in need of some tranquility and luxury in your life, you should come here. The area has many fine restaurants within a 15 minute drive. The "Mainers" are extremely friendly and Acadia NP, another must-see, is less than an hour away.”

“Tranquility on Penobscot Bay was just that TRANQUIL. The home is near the water and the view is beautiful. The back of the house is all glass and the sun rises on that side which makes it warm and welcoming. The location is fantastic we spent the days exploring many areas Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Bangor and Camden all are only a short drive away. We met many locals on our visit all were very nice and welcoming and offered helpful hints on where to go and what to do. I love to mingle with locals! We only spent 4 days here and will probably return to see the areas we missed. We spent the evenings in the yard with a fire burning and watching the sunset. This was a very exciting but restful vacation.”
